Save
home page as index.html
o Make sure that you save all
files in the same folder
o Save them all as .html with
the exception of photos
o Save them all as lower case
file names

When
you want to make a link: go to Insert Hyperlink

Then,
create new document
·
Make
sure you change the title to your websites; you may not necessarily want the
title to be the filename
·
Remove
all references to your computer in the file name
o E.g. My Documents/My Web
·
Log
in at www.geocities.com or www.geocities.yahoo.com
o Click on Upload files
·
In
order to make a hyperlink to a webpage, follow the same steps as before, but
now browse for web page (instead of create new document)
·
Everything
should be linked off the index.html page
o This is your main page
·
Check
all your links once everything is uploaded
·
Ensure
that picture files also have the references to your computer in the file name
removed
·
Check
all your links on a different computer to ensure that your website is working
and the links are working properly
